Catania

This Chalcidian Colony of Catinon was founded 461 BC.In 1669 Mt Etna erupted and covered the city with a layer of lava.


The Cathedral faces the Piazza Duomo. This Cathedral was built at the time of the Norman king, Roger I. The Cathedral is an example of Baroque style.
