Capri is an island in the Gulf of Naples. It is part of the Apennine mountain range.

The Roman Emperor Tiberius built twelve villas on the island. It was said from his Villa Jovis he would get rid of his unwanted house guests by throwing them off the cliffs.

A short motor boat trip took us past the waterfalls and cave openings to the Grotto.

Many of the cave entrances had uniquie names. One such was likened to a champagne bottle opening. As water would rush to fill the opening, water and air mixed to resemble the bubbling of a champagne bottle being uncorked.
